Wow ! Not only did this hauler respond immediately, but he had no idea that most haulers would probably not want to haul what we were shipping..., a depressed one-man Egyptian Arabian stallion who had just lost his only "man friend" to cancer. Dale Andrews responded to our ad in less than 24 hours after posting. Upon arrival to the pick-up point only 2 days later, Dale had to face 2 grieving non-horse women who were trying to scare him to death about hauling this stallion. Dale called me to gain a little background about the horse. (I owned him as a young colt, and had just re-purchased him from the widow.) I'm not sure which happened first, but Dale said he felt confident he could handle the stallion after speaking with me, and I felt confident in Dale's abilities too after hearing his calming voice. I knew the stallion would respond well to that. In my 35 years with Arabians, I have never had an outside hauler who took "bonding" time before loading like this man did. Not only were we able to dispell some old wives' tales about Arabians, but Dale fell in love with this stallion and his first Egyptian Arabian experience... calling him the smartest horses he'd ever hauled. We didn't tell Dale until later that the forgotten 10-yr-old stallion had just sired his first foal, which at only 4 days old had a projected professional appraisal valuing him into the multi-million dollar range. So, not only was this very special cargo, but we found a very special hauler that we now intend to use exclusively. This was our first experience with UShip, and we can't praise them enough for the services they provide.
