I was shipping a heavyweight motorcycle from the East Coast to my residence in South West Michigan. Calling 'convential' trucking services resulted in quotes of $850 to $1100 and a 'take it or leave it' attitude. I contacted UShip and put my requirements out for bid. Several offers were received including 'convential' trucking services quoting the same high prices. However, some quotes were received at around 50% of what I had already been given. Unfortunately most of these bids had no information I could use to judge them on apart from price. In the event I chose Strictly Business (he was not the lowest bidder!) because he stated 'up front' what good care he would take of my motorcycle and what facilities he had in his truck to ensure this. This was very importent to me as the 'finish' on the bike I had bought (via EBay) was the major reason for its aquisition. His FEEDBACK record was also very impressive. Unfortunately the bike's seller proved a little difficult to contact so my shipper had to wait around for a few hours. He made no complaints about this and did his best to deal with both him and myself in a friendly and polite manner. I wish all my business contacts could be so rewarding. I will definately use Uship again.
