I was moving from Chicago to Toledo and planned to bring my pontoon boat with me. I loaded it on my trailer. I did not get more than 20 miles when the wheel fell off my trailer. I tried to get off the road but as I pulled into a gas station, my boat shifted and fell off the trailer. Here I was at 6:00 on a Friday night blocking one of the busiest intersections in Chicago. I had to call a crane service to remove my boat.
Then I was left with the dilemma of getting my boat from Chicago to Toledo. I got quotes of over $2000 from other movers. I put my shipment on U-Ship and found HB Trucking who was delivering a load to Chicago and coming back empty and would deliver for under $400!
Herman was very professional and courteous. He worked with the crane company to get my boat loaded. I had a crane set up to unload in Toledo and Herman showed up right on time.
I learned my leason. Next time I have to move my boat, I will let the professionals with U-Ship handle it.
