I purchased a one of a kind vehicle that I had been looking for for years. It was in Florida, and I am in Texas. I searched for shipping companies online, and consistently found that professional companies frequently are in bad standing with the Better Business Bureau. This had me worried. I posted a request on a Corvair related listserve, asking for a referral to a reliable list serve. Someone there put me onto uship. I decided to give it a try, and was pleased to find people bidding on my shipment who had consistently good feedback. Among the various shippers who bid on my shipment, one seemed to stand out. It wasn't just that he had consistently perfect feedback, but the nature of the comments caught my eye. They talked about professionalism, an ontime schedule, excellent communication, and customer service--all things I value. He wasn't the least expensive bid, but wasn't too much higher, so I decided I would use Pete. Within hours of accepting my bid, he called, and opened the lines of communication. He really put my mind at ease. My one of a kind vehicle arrived a day ahead of schedule and was in perfect condition. His equipment was clean, shiny, and well maintained, and I could see that he had shipped this vehicle with the same care he would have used if it was his own. I am confident that I could not have received this level of service from any of the "professional" shipping companies that I had been researching.
