I had a motorcycle that I bought in Iowa from a Ebay auction. Originally I had a trucker friend who was taking a load that route in a week or so. However, once that week was up---his load was delayed for another week. So after waiting one more week, his load was cancelled. Another friend suggested checking out uShip, he had heard that you could get a decent rate. After checking some other motorcycle carriers for prices, I found the average cost would be around $600. This was more than I had allowed for when I bought the bike, because my friend would have picked it up for $200; so logged on to uShip and submitted a shipment after looking through some previous listings. It didn't take long to get some questions which were followed bids, and then it was just a matter of figuring what pickup dates would work. The lowest bid I had was $300 which would have been perfect, but the pickup date didn't work. The bid I chose was $350 and my decision was based on the shipper's feedback and rating, which were excellent. The timing was good since he was making a trip in this direction; he picked the bike up on a Saturday morning and delivered it on Sunday night. He always kept me informed, I could get a hold of him if I needed to, and the delivery was excellent. I will recommend uShip as a cost effective and enjoyable way to get your shipment delivered.
