I accepted to pull a trailer that the customer claimed weighed 3500 lbs. I weight the trailer and it weighed 5900 lbs. I informed him that there would be a weight overage and he refused to pay. All I charged was the extra fuel expense and I explained that to him and he refused. Finally, we agreed on 200, didn't even cover my expenses. CHEAP SKATE!!!!!!

THE WEIGHT QUOTED WAS THE WEIGHT STATED ON THE TITLE AND THIS WAS AN EMPTY ENCLOSED CAR CARRIER THAT COULD NOT HAVE WEIGHED THREE TONS. sorry

Charlie Lucas is a rip off artist.....WARNING .....DO NOT USE THIS SHIPPER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES......he claimed over weight on trailer and refused to unhitch unless he got an ADDITIONAL $400..having no choice, I got him to $200 and I was forced to pay additional $200. I have been using USHIP FOR YEARS and have never had this kind of experience.....He claimed the trailer was 6500 lbs and the title says 4325 lbs....RIP OFF>>>>he should be removed from the USHIP SYSTEM.

Incorrect!!!!!!! I agreed to pull a 3500 lb trailer, look at the listing. I knew it pulled heavy. Well I stopped at a truck stop, went on the scales, unhooked the trailer, pulled off and weighed the trailer. I have the scale ticket, it weighed 5900 lbs. Every company charges overages on weight, look it up. And I didn't refuse to unhook the trailer. I got there and I informed the customer of the overage first. Nothing is free!!!!
