About Me
I am a recently retired professional person. We maintain homes in Indianapolis and the Fort Myers, FL, area, so our family occasionally needs to ship household items and pets between locations. I've also used USHIP to transport furniture to family members and to transport a boat to FL. I also used a U Ship driver to transport our Golden Retriever and our cat to FL for the winter. I am currently turning to U Ship to transport some furniture and household items to a son who is setting up housekeeping while he goes to graduate school. We've had generally very good experiences each time we've used U Ship.

The service provider is not able to accommodate this shipment The Service Provider told us when we called him one hour before the set meeting time that his father had died overnight, and he would need to return to his home state immediately.
Our son was left in Cleveland with no mover and a 6 p.m. deadline to vacate a 10' x 20' storage unit.
As a result, I had to book myself on a $500 air ticket to rush to our son's aid and book a 17' U-Haul, which we loaded ourselves, with the help of one college friend. My son drove the U-Haul, and I drove his car

Both my cat and dog were delivered as promised and in good condition. It was clear the animals liked him.
I had given medication instructions to the shipper, and the medication appeared to be administered correctly. The shipper is very good with animals, and I would entrust my animals to him again. He was extremely conscientious about communicating with me prior to the trip and during the trip.
His vehicle is an older model station wagon, but he keeps it in good working order. Grade A.

This provider exceeded expectations. He picked up and delivered a 5,000 lb. boat and trailer on time and in perfect condition from Coldwater MI to Fort Meyers, FL -- a 1,300 mile distance. In addition, he carried the boat/trailer on his flatbed trailer, stabilizing the load and sparing our trailer wear and tear. He is an experienced boater, and he wet launched the boat for us and parked the trailer in our garage. Good communication along the way. Great guy; what a find!
