The service provider did not show up at agreed upon date and time I booked a shipment with McKanes trucking. Vehicle to be picked up on the 16th of November and delivered on or before the 23rd. Communication via texting had been very good up to that point. He contacted the seller and they agreed on a pickup time. Bill texted me on the 16th (the day of pickup) and said he had broken down (prior to pickup). He never contacted the seller to let him know that he would miss the agreed pickup time. Mike did NOTHING for this transaction other than send me off to a shipping company. He never once updated USHIP on any type of status. He never updated me; ever. I sent two emails requesting a status. He replied with NO useful information except he did give me the shippers phone number. So, Mike took my money, made the connection with the trucking co and he was out. End of story. Isn't that why we have Uship? He did not communicate w the shipper that is was a 7 day bid. Delivered in 15. FAIL!

We were late on this shipment, admittedly. Customer understood that. We actually ended up making no money on this, and gave up our share to the driver just to get the job done, rather than leaving the customer in a lurch. Shipper was aware that this was a 7 day bid, and he ran behind on his normal route due to a mechanical issue. If we disappointed anyone here, we apologize. We do our best on each order, but sometimes these issues arise.

Having researched the experience of others via Uship and other transport companies, I was extremely hesitant in using a transporter. However, Rich was amazing. I bought a jeep scrambler on a Thursday from Maryland and I had my vehicle THE NEXT DAY in FLorida. Extremely reliable, good communication and overall good guy.
