The service provider misrepresented themselves, their business or their services QUESTION FROM SHIPPER ON 1/7/09 STATED THAT THEY WILL BID, AND IF I ACCEPT I WILL LOCK IN PRICE. I ACCEPTED, WAS EMAILED A CONTRACT, AND NOW HAVE POSSIBLE CHARGES I WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF AHEAD OF TIME. I NOW FACE POSSIBLE "DEAD HEAD" CHARGES, FUEL SURCHARGE, AND 4% ADDED FOR CREDIT CARD. I CAN'T ACCEPT THIS.
Response from Lockview:
I amended the contract to withdraw all of the terms that the shipper had an issue with. When you book a boat 4 months in advance it is possible that the price of fuel will change or that we would be re-routed due to road construction. The low price given was based on the availability of the truck having a back haul and shipper could not at that time commit to a date. The credit card fee could be avoided if he paid by check. Even though all items were removed shipper still chose not to go use us
