Canadian shipping rates are scary compared to getting equipment from the US. USHIP helps to get better quotes that are more reasonable. Will use USHIP again for sure.

Needed a telehandler shipped cross border. Abacus handled the freight and we contacted a broker (that Nick at Abacus gave us for a contact). communication good ,on time delivery. Unloading was a bit of learning curve, but for the next time now know what to do to unload quicker. The only issue I had was I was unable to find a phone number to actually speak with someone about payment questions. Being able to speak to an actual person at that moment would make the whole process much better.

There are some unresponsible trucking companies using Uship. They book as much load as they can find and then try to satisfy everybody with poor results. It happened to me,they didn`t show up to pick the load for 2 weeks after booking,contradicting explenations , no picking the phones. Then Ihad to cancel the booking and use company with first class feedback. It worked.

The price of heavy machinery is much higher than it is in the USA. It makes sense to buy in the south and import it here. Uship is good for me because I am able to be my own shipper. I am in control of the Price, timeline and trucking company. I was able to get a competitive quote without even picking up the phone.

A very convenient way of shipping goods. I read several of the shipping bids before choosing the one that was right for me. It was not the cheapest bid. I choose the bid that presented the best mode of transport, customer history and feedback via reply to questions prior to acceptance of bid.
